Now it looks like there is more evidence that those reports were right because it seems that Huawei has recently sent out invites to the press for an event that will be taking place on the 27th of March in Paris. While the company did not explicitly mention what will be announced, apparently new flagship devices will be announced in which the P20 seems to fit the bill perfectly.
That being said while we expect the P20 to pack a ton of the latest hardware and features (and possibly continue their partnership with Leica), it might be a hard sell for Huawei especially in the US. Lawmakers in the US have reportedly been pushing carriers such as AT&T to cut all ties with the Chinese company, and recently it was reported that Verizon’s plans to sell Huawei phones have also been dropped due to pressure from the US government.
We suppose missing out on the US market will be a pretty huge deal for Huawei, although they still have the Chinese market which is by no means a small one.
