That being said, a recent tweet by Ice Universe has revealed that the Galaxy S9 might have been spotted on Geekbench where the version being tested is running on the Snapdragon 845. The scores show that in terms of single-core performance, the phone managed to score 2,378, while multi-core performance saw a score of 8,132.
Snapdragon 845, mediocre results, only expect Exynos 9810 to our surprise, this will be Samsung S9 biggest bright spot. pic.twitter.com/aJVbBxQkNG

It has been pointed out by PhoneArena that back in December last year, the Galaxy S9+ was allegedly spotted on Geekbench as well with slightly higher scores of 2,422 and 8,351 respectively. It is unclear why there is a discrepancy since both phones are supposed to be identical save for their screen sizes, so take it with a grain of salt for now.
Either way Samsung is also expected to launch the Galaxy S9 with the Exynos 9810 chipset, so it will be interesting to see how the Exynos fares against the Snapdragon. Both handsets are expected to be launched at MWC 2018 on the 25th of February.
