Early Galaxy S10 Rumor Hints At Focus On Artificial Intelligence

We’re still a couple of weeks away from the official announcement of the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ and yet a China-based source has floated an early Galaxy S10 rumor. Amid reports that next year’s flagship smartphone from Samsung might be called the Galaxy X instead, this latest rumor claims that Samsung will particularly focus on adding new artificial intelligence capabilities to the Galaxy S10.

The rumor out of China claims that the Galaxy S10 will feature a high-end custom Exynos processor with a custom GPU and a dedicated neural processing unit. Samsung has already been rumored to be working on dedicated artificial intelligence chips for its smartphones.

All of this may be coupled with an unknown amount of LPDDR5 RAM and memory based on the new UFS 3.0 standard which promises double the speeds of the existing UFS standard. It’s even claimed that the Galaxy S10 is going to come with a bigger battery, support for 5G, and an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 93 percent. Samsung may also other advanced artificial intelligence features to its next-generation handset.

The source simply appears to be chucking stuff against the wall hoping that some of it would stick. It’s far too early to have any concrete information about the Galaxy S10 at this point in time and we can be sure that we’ll hear more rumors about it later this year. However, at this point in time, absolutely nothing is set in stone.
