Late last year, a trailer for the upcoming anime movie Batman Ninja was released. Essentially this is Batman but given an anime twist where it transports Batman and his allies into feudal Japan. It also shows Batman and his allies going up against a horde of some of Batman’s more iconic adversaries, such as the Joker.
Now it looks like we have a new trailer, and this time it shows off the movie that has been dubbed in English, which some might argue lost a bit of its “magic”. However at the same time the trailer also reveals some scenes that we did not see in the previous release, so it could b e worth checking out if you’re looking forward to the movie.
According to Warner Bros., “Batman Ninja takes a journey across the ages as Gorilla Grodd’s time displacement machine transports many of Batman’s worst enemies to feudal Japan – along with the Dark Knight and a few of his allies. The villains take over the forms of the feudal lords that rule the divided land, with the Joker taking the lead among the warring factions. As his traditional high-tech weaponry is exhausted almost immediately, Batman must rely on his intellect and his allies – including Catwoman and the extended Bat-family – to restore order to the land, and return to present-day Gotham City.”
The movie is currently set for a digital release on the 24th of April, 2018 while the Blu-ray copy and DVD are slated for a release on the 8th of May.
