The game will be available on the iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV and is priced at $4.99. For those hearing about it for the first time, Alto’s Odyssey is the sequel to Snowman’s Alto’s Adventure. The games are basically an endless runner kind of game, but instead of it being frantic like titles such as Temple Run, Alto’s Adventure and Odyssey seem to be a mix of an endless runner and games like Journey, where there is a lot of emphasis placed on the background artwork and music.
The end result is a rather relaxing game where players will skate/ski down slopes, perform tricks, collect coins, avoid obstacles, all the while completing missions to advance to the next level. Alto’s Odyssey will be mostly the same thing, except that in the sequel gamers will have more things to do and different landscapes to explore, so if you enjoyed the first game then the sequel could also be worth checking out.
