If you love the Mario franchise then there’s a good chance you’re probably familiar with Mario’s friend/companion Yoshi. If you were looking forward to a modern day Yoshi standalone game, you might have heard that back in E3 2017 Nintendo did announce a standalone Yoshi game, but they failed to mention when it would be made available.
Now thanks to a listing on Amazon Italy (via Nintendo Life), it seems that the online retailer has put up a date for June 2018. Prior to this, most retail websites listed the game as December 2018, which is safe to assume that this was a placeholder date, whereas June 2018 does seem a bit more specific.
Nintendo has yet to officially confirm the release date so take it with a grain of salt for now, and we’re not sure when they might confirm it. The company has recently unveiled a slew of games that are planned for the Switch, although for the most part the announcements were for games that have been remastered and being ported onto the Switch, such as Dark Souls, The World Ends With You, and more.
In any case if you haven’t heard about the new Yoshi game, you can check out a bit of the game in the trailer above.
