This is because according to Android Central, they have discovered that Xiaomi will be having their own booth at MWC. This means that the company will be present at the event, which means that they could have something to show. However it is possible that Xiaomi’s presence could just be to show off existing products, but that would seem like a bit of a wasted opportunity.
In terms of features, not much is known about the Mi 7 except that it will most likely be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. We have heard rumors that it might potentially ditch fingerprint sensors in favor of facial recognition, but given that Apple’s Face ID isn’t the resounding success that Touch ID was, we’re not sure if that’s necessarily a good thing.
It is also possible that Xiaomi could choose to launch the Mi 7 at its own event and save MWC for something else, like the Mi Max 3 whose renders recently made its way online. Either way we’ll find out soon enough so check back with us then for the details.
