[CES 2018] In case the recently-announced Sennheiser HD 820 headphones are way, way, way out of your budget, not to worry as Sennheiser also has some more affordable headphones to offer. The company has also announced the CX 6.00BT, which are a pair of Bluetooth in-ear headphones that will cost $100.

While wired headphones are still available and more preferred by audiophiles who believe that Bluetooth/wireless degrades audio quality, given that we’re seeing more smartphone OEMs ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack, we’re not surprised to see more companies start to push out Bluetooth headsets and the CX 6.00BT is one of them.

The headphones will be powered by Bluetooth 4.2 and Qualcomm’s apt-X technology that helps to reduce the latency, meaning that watching videos while wearing the headset should not result in any noticeable delay between the audio and video. The headphones will come with a cable that can be worn around the neck if you prefer this kind of setup versus wireless earbuds, and there will also be a built-in three-button remote that lets users control music and calls.

As for battery life, the CX 6.00BT is said to last up to six hours on a single charge, and also supports fast charging where 10 minutes of charging will net users two hours of battery life, with the headphones taking 1.5 hours to fully recharge. The Sennheiser CX 6.00BT will be available starting from this month.
