This was confirmed by Samsung Mobile’s President DJ Koh, who according to a report from ZDNet revealed the handset’s launch date at a press conference at CES 2018 which is taking place this week. Koh dismissed the rumors that the phone would be announced at CES, and instead stated that they would be launching the handset in February.
As for a release, that has yet to be determined but we heard that it would possibly be released in March. This makes sense since we imagine that Samsung would most likely try to keep the time from the announcement to the release date as short as possible. So far the rumors of the Galaxy S9 claim that for the most part, Samsung is expected to retain the same design (possibly slimming down the bezels even further), and also include the use of the Exynos 9810 which was recently announced.
MWC 2018 is scheduled for the 26th of February, 2018, so Samsung’s announcement will either take place on the date itself, or we could be looking at a slightly earlier date.
