Most keyboards you see are straight in terms of design, and while this has been more or less the standard design for years, they aren’t exactly ergonomical, and long endless hours of using the keyboard in such a manner can be bad for your wrists. This is why there are ergonomical keyboards in the market as well.

If you are in the market for such a device, you might be interested to learn that Dygma has launched a Kickstarter campaign for a keyboard called the “Raise”. This is a split keyboard that has been designed so that you can position your hands more ergonomically, and it has also been designed for competitive gaming/eSports in mind.

The keyboard itself can be split into two and positioned in a more “natural” manner, or alternatively if you prefer you could always put them together and it will be like a regular keyboard. It will also feature wrist rests that will help make it easier on your wrists when you type.

These are also mechanical keys and will use the Cherry MX or Kailh switches, depending on your preference. They are also hot-swappable meaning that unlike regular keyboards where the switches can’t be swapped, these can which means that users can choose between either switch based on their mood/need at the moment. They are also backlit and even features an underglow.

For those who are interested, the Raise is priced at around $226 and will be shipping out this October.
