PlayerUnkown’s Battlegrounds continues to break records and set new ones as it has quickly become one of the most popular games on the planet. A preview version of the title was released for the Xbox One last month and it has amassed more than three million players on Microsoft’s gaming console in just over a month. That’s particularly impressive given that PUBG’s Xbox One release didn’t go off as smoothly as the developer might have hoped. Then again, the game isn’t out of preview yet.

Aaron Greenberg, GM of Games Marketing at Microsoft, confirmed that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has passed three million payers on the Xbox One. It had actually achieved this milestone at the end of 2017. That’s not surprising given that the game pulled in more than a million players on Xbox One in the first two days after launch.

PUBG has already set some other impressive records. It broke its own concurrent player record on Steam at the end of last month when a staggering 3,106,358 players were logged in and playing the game at the same time.

The game was launched through the Xbox Game Preview Program on December 12th. Since then, four updates have already been released to improve its performance on the Xbox One. Greenberg adds that players will continue to see more updates being rolled out in the coming weeks, this includes additional game optimization and the new Miramar map.
