NVIDIA Announces 65-inch 4K 120Hz Gaming Displays

[CES 2018] While we expected that companies like LG, Samsung, Sony, Sharp, and so on to announce new display technology at CES 2018, NVIDIA actually surprised us when they have announced their own displays as well. Working together with various hardware partners, NVIDIA has announced a 65-inch 4K 120Hz gaming display.

These hardware partners include Acer, ASUS, and HP, all of whom will be working with NVIDIA to create “big format gaming displays”, or BFGD as NVIDIA is calling it. According to Matt Wuebbling, head of GeForce marketing at NVIDIA, “PC gamers expect high performance and instant response times, but, until now, they’ve been largely limited to traditional desktop displays. BFGDs change that. With NVIDIA’s latest technology built into these new displays, PC gamers can now experience their favorite titles in all the low-latency glory they deserve.”

These displays will feature a 4K resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz, along with NVIDIA’s G-Sync HDR technology. However these aren’t just displays and will actually feature Android TV baked into them, meaning that users will be able to switch from using it as a display for their computer to a TV and do something else entirely if they wish.

There is no word on pricing just yet, but NVIDIA is expecting that these displays will be made available later this summer and pricing and further specifications will be announced then.
