The Nokia 6 was the first handset that HMD Global launched under the Nokia brand. It was the first such device in the post-Microsoft era. The handset was initially released in China before it was made available elsewhere. The company has now started teasing a new handset launch for January 5th. It’s expected to be a revised version of the Nokia 6.

Nokia no longer makes its own smartphones. It has licensed its brand to another Finnish company called HMD Global. The Nokia 6 was its first creation and the company has released several handsets since then.

The company has now started teasing the launch of a new handset on Weibo in China. Since the teaser includes a mention of the Nokia 6, the new handset is expected to be a revised version of this device, so it may possibly be called the Nokia 6 (2018).

There have already been rumors about the Nokia 6 (2018). It’s believed to be a dual-SIM device with a Snapdragon 660 processor, 4GB RAM and up to 64GB of onboard storage. It may also feature a 3,000mAh battery, a 16 megapixel rear, and 8 megapixel front camera.

It’s likely that the Nokia 6 (2018) may be announced for international markets at the Mobile World Congress 2018 in February. Prior to that, this handset may only be released in China much like its predecessor was last year.
