Back in 2017, leakster Evan Blass “confirmed” that we could expect to see Motorola refresh its lineup of Moto G handsets, and it’s starting to look like his predictions are coming true. In a series of renders obtained and published by Droid-Life, it looks like we have an idea of what the upcoming Moto G6 handsets could look like.

According to the renders, it seems that there will be three variations that we can look forward to. This includes the Moto G6, the G6 Plus, and the G6 Play. From what we can tell, the Moto G6 and G6 Plus share pretty similar designs, save for the G6 Play in which the fingerprint sensor has been moved from the front to the back, similar to that of the Moto E5 that was recently leaked as well.

For those unfamiliar, the Moto G series of smartphones are a mid-range lineup from Motorola, so if you were hoping to see high-end specs and features, you might be disappointed. This has not changed with 2018’s models as Droid-Life reports that we will be seeing the use of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 450 chipset for the G6, while the G6 Plus will actually utilize the slightly more powerful Snapdragon 630.

The differences will also be in the display department where the G6 will feature a 5.7-inch FHD+ display, while the G6 Plus will use a 5.93-inch FHD+ display. Whether or not these renders are real remains to be seen, but additional images published to MySmartPrice seems to confirm the design, while a post on Reddit has revealed alleged real-life images of the pre-production model of the Moto G6 Plus.
