So we’ve known that Samsung has been working on the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Galaxy S8, but a recently leaked build posted on Reddit (via PhoneArena) has revealed that in the latest Oreo beta for the Galaxy S8, Samsung has added Dolby Atmos audio technology in the software. For those unfamiliar, Dolby Atmos helps users to fine tune their EQ and surround emulation, especially when it comes to wearing headphones.
Based on the leaked build, it has revealed that there are four different presets that users can choose from, such as Auto, Movie, Music, and Voice. That being said, there is no official release date for Oreo on the Galaxy S8, S8+, but given that the beta program is expected to close on the 15th of January, it has been largely speculated that the update could be released in the later part of the month, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more information.
