Hori’s PS4 Onyx Wireless Controller Announced

When you look at the Xbox One controller versus that of the PS4, there are some very obvious design differences, not only in terms of size but also in the way the controls are laid out. The PS4 features analog sticks side by side in a symmetrical layout, while the Xbox One favors an asymmetrical design.

There is no “better” design, but for those who do prefer the Xbox’s controller layout but own a PS4, you’re in luck because accessory maker Hori has recently taken the wraps off the Onyx Wireless controller for the PS4. As you can see in the image above, it is clear that this controller is aimed at those who prefer the Xbox’s asymmetrical design.

For the most part this is a PS4 controller is most aspects, such as the touchpad in the center along with the PlayStation-themed buttons. The main difference would be the size of the controller which is noticeably fatter, and how the D-pad and the left analog stick have shifted places. Other than that it will pretty much pack the same features that you would expect from a PS4 controller.

There is no word on pricing just yet, but the European PlayStation Blog has stated that the controller will be available in Europe starting 15th of January.
