[CES 2018] If buying a ridiculously expensive gaming laptop never made sense to you then you may end up liking Acer’s new Nitro 5 gaming laptop. The company has designed it with the casual gamer in mind and the prices are reasonably affordable as well. Despite that, it promises incredible performance in an aggressive yet refined design.
The Acer Nitro 5 is powered by the latest AMD Ryzen mobile processors and can be had with up to 512GB of SSD storage and up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM. It also features an AMD Radeon RX560 graphics card with NitroSense GPU/CPU monitoring providing real-time metrics.
The Nitro 5’s high-quality speakers with Dolby Audio Premium and Acer TrueHarmony technology complete the gaming experience. Connectivity options include dual-stream 802.11ac Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, HDMI 2.0, and Gigabit Ethernet.
This laptop has a top cover with laser texturing that adds bold refinement to the machine. The top cover houses its 15.6 inch Full HD IPS display. There’s also an HD camera on the front which can be used for game broadcasts using Game bar on Windows 10.
Acer is going to start selling the Nitro 5 gaming laptop in North America from April 2018. Prices start at a reasonable $799. The laptop will also be released in the EMEA region in April with prices starting at €1,099.
