Apple’s Rumored 6.1-inch iPhone Won’t Come With 3D Touch

One of the iPhone features that isn’t mentioned as much these days is 3D Touch. For those unfamiliar, 3D Touch is a pressure-sensitive display on Apple’s newer iPhones that lets users do more with a single press, but it’s safe to say that the feature did not really take off the way that Apple had hoped.

So much so that later this year, Apple is said to be dropping the feature from one of its phones. A recent rumor has stated that Apple could be launching a 6.1-inch iPhone this year, with one of the features of the phone being an LCD panel. However according to a recent report from KGI Securities, 6.1-inch iPhone model might not come with 3D Touch.

In addition to the phone not sporting 3D Touch, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s report also claims that the handset will not adopt the iPhone X’s stacked logic board or L-shaped battery pack. Instead it will feature a standard battery pack similar to the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, and is also expected to be priced somewhere between $700-$800.

Take it with a grain of salt, but we’re not sure if not having 3D Touch will be a feature that many iPhone users will miss, but what do you guys think? Is 3D Touch essential to the way you use your iPhone? Or have you completely forgotten that it exists?
