Samsung, LG To Announce New Phones At CES 2018

CES is just around the corner and if you’re hoping to see some new phones at the event, your wish could come true. According to a report from Korean publication ETNews, they are claiming that both Samsung and LG are expected to introduce new phones at the upcoming event, although there is a chance it might not be flagship-material.

The report claims that Samsung will be using the event to launch their new Galaxy A8 and A8 Plus handsets which we have been hearing about recently. So far what we know about the handset is that it is expected to adopt the infinity display design and will also come with Samsung’s Bixby digital assistant.

As for LG, the company will apparently launch a new lineup of K-series handsets which are the company’s low-mid range offerings. They are also expected to debut LG Pay with the K-series lineup. Details are scarce about the new K-series lineup, but we expect those details should be revealed in due time.

Like we said, these aren’t flagship phones because last we heard, the Samsung Galaxy S9 has been rumored for February. As for the LG G7, we had heard that it was planned for January but the report does not mention it. It is possible the phone could be announced, but since nothing is confirmed it’s probably best to take it with a grain of salt.
