Alleged Render Of The Sony Xperia XZ2 ‘Confirm’ All-Screen Design

We have been hearing rumors that for Sony’s next-gen flagship smartphone, they will be introducing a new design, one that will follow the trend of the phones we’re seeing these days, which is an all-screen design with minimal bezels. Now thanks to an image uploaded onto Slashleaks (via Techiestate), we might have an idea of what to expect.

For the most part it seems that Sony has somehow managed to retain its signature look, but as you can see and assuming the image is accurate, the bezels on the sides of the phone are considerably thinner, resulting in a phone with an edge-to-edge display. That being said, we can’t say for sure if this image is the real deal, so obviously take it with a grain of salt for now.

However according to Slashleaks, the handset in question is said to be the Sony Xperia XZ2, which is the successor to this year’s Sony Xperia XZ1. This is a high-end handset from Sony, which means that we can probably expect similar specs in its successor as well, presumably the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 as its chipset of choice, and if the current trend is anything to go on, 4-6GB of RAM.

We’re not sure if Sony plans on introducing a dual camera design, but we’ll have to wait and see. No word on when the handset will be announced, but CES and MWC 2018 are around the corner so perhaps we’ll learn more then.
