The Xbox One X is the latest and most powerful console from Microsoft right now, and with the ability to hit 4K resolution in gaming, you would expect that it wouldn’t be an issue for developers to get games to run at 60fps as well. Unfortunately for gamers who enjoy PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, that won’t be the case.
In a tweet by Brendan “PlayerUnknown” Greene (via VG247), he confirmed that the game on the Xbox One X would be running at 30fps instead. Greene doesn’t state the reason why the Xbox One X version will run at 30fps, but it has been suggested that it could possibly be due to the developers choosing to ensure that the game is fair for all players.
While I previously stated PUBG would run at higher FPS at XGP launch on 12/12, I want to clarify that PUBG will run at 30 FPS across all @Xbox One devices. We’re constantly refining the game & exploring options to increase FPS, but this early in dev, we’re unable to confirm more.

Players who enjoy smoother frame rates are naturally at an advantage, such as being able to react quicker, which means that gamers on the Xbox One might feel that this is an unfair advantage simply because they do not wish to fork out money for a newer console. However the semi-good news is that based on Greene’s tweet, it seems that they aren’t completely giving up just yet.
It sounds like the developers are still looking into ways to increase the frame rates on the Xbox consoles (presumably the Xbox One), so it is possible that a future update could bump the game’s FPS up, but until then, we guess gamers will have no choice but to make do with 30fps.
