Just the other day, the long-awaited trailer for Avengers: Infinity War was released. Given how much it seems that people love watching super hero mashups, and also given the success of the previous Avengers movies, and also the popularity of Marvel’s comics and the Avengers franchise, it really doesn’t come as a surprise that this is a movie many are looking forward to.
In fact the numbers seem to prove just that because according to a tweet by Marvel Studios, it appears that Avengers: Infinity War’s trailer has set the record for the most watched trailer in 24 hours, managing to rack up a staggering 230 million views in its first day. At this time of writing, the trailer has since gone on to rack up over 63 million views, and we expect that the number will keep climbing until the film’s release.
Thank you to the best fans in the universe for making @Avengers #InfinityWar the most viewed trailer of all time with 230 million views in 24 hours! See you all May 4th pic.twitter.com/7dYmhk8VSi

We’re not sure if the trailer will have the potential to hit the billions like we’ve seen in other viral YouTube videos, but having this many eyeballs on the trailer should do wonders for the movie’s marketing. The movie is currently set for a release on the 24th of May, 2018, and will help lead up to 2019’s Avengers 4, which according to Marvel will offer a finale of sorts to certain characters and close the chapter on some of them, ushering in the next phase of Marvel characters coming into the MCU.
