One of the great things about this modern internet day and age is that we are no longer bound by more traditional methods of entertainment. For example just earlier this year, YouTube TV was officially launched which allowed viewers to watch their favorite shows and channels while on the go.
Now if you’re more of someone who prefers watching shows while at home, you’ll be pleased to learn that YouTube TV has announced that its app will now be available on Samsung’s smart TVs. Note that this only applies to Samsung’s 2016 and 2017 models, so if you own an older smart TV device then we guess you’re out of luck, at least for now because according to Google’s support page, support for older models are expected to arrive later.
This one’s for you, @SamsungUS viewers.

It reads, “The app will be available soon on 2014 and 2015 Samsung and LG TVs, Sony Linux TVs, and Apple TV.” As Google points out (obviously), you will need to have an account on YouTube TV. Note that as of now YouTube TV is still only available in the US, and even then it isn’t available across the entire country.
The service has been slowly expanding to various markets in the US, and we expect that it should eventually encompass the entire country. You can find out if it’s in your area by going through the signup process, or head on over to Google’s website where you’ll see the entire list of areas that the service is currently available in.
