In fact you could almost be doing yourself a favor because according to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, come 2018 we could be looking at a trio of new iPhones for you to choose from. The analyst claims that Apple will launch an iPhone with a 6.5-inch OLED display with a pixel density anywhere between 480-500 PPI, and there will be another OLED model with a 5.8-inch display, which is the same as the current iPhone X.
Kuo also claims that there will be a 6.1-inch model that will sport a TFT-LCD display with a lower resolution, which is apparently aimed at low-end and mid-range markets, which the OLED models are for the high-end market. These claims are consistent with Kuo’s earlier claims in which he said that Apple could launch two OLED models in 2018.
Safe to say that it is pretty early on to tell whether or not Kuo’s claims are true, but he has proven to be extremely reliable with his reports in the past, so perhaps there could be some truth to them. However since none of it is official, take it with a grain of salt for now.
