Samsung Launches Galaxy Note 8 Enterprise Edition In The U.S.

Samsung has launched a new model of the Galaxy Note 8 in the United States. It’s called the Galaxy Note 8 Enterprise Edition and as the name suggests, this handset is meant for small-to-medium businesses as well as larger enterprises. There’s nothing fundamentally different about this Note 8 when compared to the one that has already been available for purchase since the past couple of months.

The Galaxy Note 8 Enterprise Edition was first launched in Germany alongside a similar version of the Galaxy S8. It’s unclear if Samsung is planning on bringing the Galaxy S8 Enterprise Edition to the United States.

The Galaxy Note 8 Enterprise Edition units are unlocked and they feature some software enhancements focused on safety and security. Samsung Knox Configure can be found on board. The software enables IT administrators to remotely configure and deploy these devices across the company.

It also enables administrators to manage a significant number of devices through a centralized operating system. It provides them access to a software version control system that enables them to update all devices in the enterprise at the same time.

Samsung has also confirmed that the Galaxy Note 8 Enterprise Edition is going to receive security updates for three years. The normal models get security updates for only two years so this is an added benefit.a

Samsung is going to charge $994 for the Galaxy Note 8 Enterprise Edition in the United States. That’s $50 more than the normal version. It can be ordered starting today from authorized Samsung channel partners.
