Samsung unveiled its Chromebook Pro and Chromebook Plus earlier this year and it’s about time that we started hearing reports about a new one from the company. With the new year just around the corner, it may not be long before Samsung comes out with another Chromebook. If a new report is to be believed, the company is actually working on a detachable Chromebook.
According to the report, this Chromebook has been in development at Samsung since late September. It’s also said to feature an Intel Kaby Lake processor.
A comparison can be drawn with the Samsung Galaxy Book. It’s a detachable 2-in-1 with Intel Kaby Lake chips, a keyboard that can be removed easily, and even Samsung’s S Pen stylus.
No further information is available at this point in time with regards to the specifications of this Chromebook.
Given that Samsung unveiled the Chromebook Pro and Chromebook Plus at CES 2017 earlier this year, one would expect that this particular Chromebook would be out at CES 2018 in January.
However, with development believed to have started out just a couple of months ago, the scribe feels that it’s unlikely Samsung will be unveiling this Chromebook at CES 2018. Perhaps this is something to look out for come MWC 2018? Only time will tell.
