Earlier this year at E3 2017, Bethesda announced that Skyrim would be getting a virtual reality (VR) makeover in the form of Skyrim VR. They also announced that the game will be finding its way onto Sony’s PlayStation VR platform, and for those who have yet to purchase a PlayStation VR kit, Sony has you covered.
Sony has recently announced that they will be selling a PlayStation VR Skyrim VR bundle. According to Sony, “The PlayStation VR Skyrim VR Bundle includes the PS VR system, PlayStation Camera, two PlayStation Move controllers, and Skyrim VR — including the Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn add-ons. Also included is an updated PS VR Demo Disc that features demos from 13 PS VR titles.”
The bundle will cost $450 and will be launched alongside the game on the 17th of November where it will be available in the US and Canada, but pre-orders are currently available. Skyrim VR is essentially the same Skyrim that gamers have come to know and love, except that it will now be playable in VR which should offer up a different experience.
Bethesda has also confirmed that in addition to the game launching on the PlayStation VR platform, it is also expected to find its way onto the HTC Vive in 2018. Given that it will be a while before we see a new The Elder Scrolls title, we guess this will be the next best thing.
