OnePlus recently launched its much-awaited smartphone, the OnePlus 5T. The company is known for making smartphones that offer great value for money with a decent build quality. If you were wondering whether that changed with the new handset, you’d be happy to know that the OnePlus 5T durability test is going to leave you impressed.
YouTuber JerryRigEverything has posted his OnePlus 5T durability test video online and it shows that the company has retained the impressive build quality that we’ve seen on previous OnePlus handsets.
The new bezel-less display scratches at the same point as you would expect any 2017 flagship to as it has the same Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The coverage extends to the 16 megapixel front camera as well so there’s no risking of scratching it in your pocket when it’s in there with keys and change.
The anodized aluminum alloy back plate is tough enough for normal use and if you don’t plan on taking a razer blade to it, then you’ll be happy with how it holds up. The fingerprint sensor is on the back now and it’s made out of durable ceramic so it’s basically immune to scratches.
This OnePlus 5T durability test also tried to ascertain whether the handset can be bent when an unusual amount of force is applied. It does flex a little initially but then locks out to prevent serious bending.
If durability has been your concern, then this OnePlus 5T durability test should put your mind at ease.
