Microsoft is soon going to release the most powerful console it has ever made. Despite the fact that it costs more than the Xbox One S, the company says that demand for the new console is “super high.” The company hasn’t provided the exact numbers but it’s not shying away from boasting that there’s considerable demand for its new console.
There appears to be a lot of excitement among Xbox fans for the new console and it seems many of them will be picking one up. Microsoft’s corporate vice president of devices Panos Panay has revealed in an interview with CNBC that demand for the Xbox one X is “super high.”
“I won’t compare it to other consoles,” Panay said, adding that the demand for the Xbox One X is exactly where Microsoft anticipated that it would be.
It became evident that there’s significant demand for the console ever since Microsoft started taking pre-orders for the Xbox One X. Retailers quickly sold out of their initial pre-order stock but it’s possible to pre-order the Xbox One X once again from retailers like Amazon.
There were reports recently that the Xbox One X might actually suffer from supply shortages at launch but Microsoft has set the record straight and said that this isn’t the case. The Xbox One X is due for release in merely a week from today.
