Korg, the company best known for its music hardware and software, has developed a music production app for the Nintendo Switch that it’s going to release early next year. The company hasn’t revealed much about the app at this point in time. The microsite that it has published for the app reveals that Korg has developed it in partnership with a software company called Detune.
This isn’t the first time that Korg has developed software for a Nintendo console. It has previously released a virtual Korg M1 synthesizer for the Nintendo 3DS.
The app is called Korg Gadget for Nintendo Switch and the company says that it’s going to be released in spring 2018. It did demonstrate the app in Japan recently and reports suggest that it’s a Switch-optimized version of a digital audio workstation. It seems like a fun game for people who like to play around with music.
Korg Gadget for Nintendo Switch will rely on the Joy-Con’s motion sensors and will also provide multiplayer options for up to four players.
Korg hasn’t confirmed as yet precisely when Korg Gadget for Nintendo Switch is going to be released and how much it’s going to cost. It’s possible that we’ll see the company reveal more details about this in the weeks to come.
