Companies like Apple usually have their suppliers produce thousands, if not tens of thousands, or maybe even hundreds of thousands of products, and given the sheer volume of units produced, there are bound to be some that end up with defects along the way. This can be annoying, but it is to be expected.
Unfortunately for some iPhone X customers, it looks like they might have to send their units back in for a replacement. According to several reports, it seems that there are some iPhone X owners who are seeing a green line appear on their displays. This is an issue documented on various platforms such as Reddit, Twitter, and the Official Apple Support Communities.

It is unclear as to what could be causing the problem, but rebooting the phone does not resolve the issue. Apple Support has reached out to some users on Twitter, with one comment asking if that user might have updated to iOS 11.1.1, which seems to suggest that it could be a software problem and not a hardware one.
For those who are experiencing the issue, you could try taking the iPhone X back to Apple where you could get a replacement unit. Otherwise you could still hold onto your phone and maybe wait for Apple’s solution, whether it be a software update that will fix it or that you will have to send it back in, which we can imagine will be rather inconvenient.
