It was reported earlier this week that iPhone X delivery times are improving. Some attributed the improvement to the iPhone X demand hitting its peak. It would suggest that there aren’t as many people putting money down for an iPhone X as before so the shipping estimates have subsequently improved. However, a well known Apple analyst has disputed the idea that the iPhone X demand has hit its peak.
KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says that the improvement in iPhone X shipping estimates is not because demand for the new flagship has stopped growing. Kuo claims that it’s because improvements have been made in the supply chain to further streamline the process.
There have been countless reports of problems in the iPhone X supply chain. There were blamed for the handset being in short supply at launch. The iPhone X output has been plagued by major product issues for months, according to previous reports.
Kuo says that some of these major issues have now been resolved and that Foxconn, Apple’s main manufacturing partner, is now building up to 550,000 iPhone X units per day. That’s compared to the up to 150,000 units that it was putting together during the weeks before launch. Kuo says that this is why iPhone X shipping estimates have improved.
The new estimated delivery times for the iPhone X are now between 1 to 2 weeks.
