Samsung’s “Active” series of phones have typically been an exclusive to AT&T, at least until this year when the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active made its way onto other carriers as well. In fact if you’re thinking about getting the phone, you might be interested to learn that the Galaxy S8 Active will be available from Sprint November 17.

The carrier has recently announced that the Galaxy S8 Active will be available on their network where for a limited time, customers who purchase the handset on the Sprint Flex plan will get a 50% discount on their monthly installments where it will cost $17.71 per month. For those unfamiliar with the Galaxy S8 Active, this is more or less the Samsung Galaxy S8 except that it has been designed to be a rugged device.

The phone has a MIL-STD-810 + IP68 rating, meaning that it is protected from the elements such as water and dust, and it will also be able to withstand drops and shocks from certain heights. It won’t be completely indestructible, but it should be able to withstand a beating or two. If you’re someone who works in a harsh environment, then this phone should be able to withstand the daily rigors of your job.

As for the rest of the specs, we’re looking at a 5.8-inch 2960×1440 Super AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 12MP rear-facing camera, an 8MP front-facing camera, and a 4,000mAh battery.
