The publication has heard from their sources that the camera could be announced in March 2018. Assuming this is correct, once again we’re not that shocked at the possible date as CP+ is taking place in March, and announcing the EOS 7D MK III then does make sense. Unfortunately details on the camera are scarce at this point in time.
However Canon Rumor’s sources are claiming that the camera will be capable of shooting 4K video, something which is pretty much the norm these days, especially when you consider that even our smartphones are capable of doing that. Their source also mentions something about a “first time sensor” for a Canon DSLR, hinting that maybe Canon could include some kind of new sensor for the EOS 7D MK III.
In any case hopefully additional details about the EOS 7D MK III will be revealed soon, but until then take it with a grain of salt.
