Apple has yet yet to officially reveal exactly how many units of the Apple Watch that they have sold to date, but according to their latest financials, it seems that it is doing pretty well as the company’s wearables unit is up 75% during the latest quarter compared to Q4 2016. According to Apple’s CEO Tim Cook, “Customers love the freedom of the Apple Watch Series 3 cellular capability. With its ability to go for a run or quick errand without your iPhone, it’s a game changer. Now more than ever, the Apple Watch is the ultimate device for healthy lives and is making a big different in customers’ lives.”
Like we said, there are no official figures for how many units of the Apple Watch have been sold so far. However last we heard in 2015, it was estimated that Apple had sold as many as 7 million units. It was also estimated that Apple could ship as many as 15 million units of the Apple Watch this year.
The Apple Watch Series 3 is the latest Apple Watch in the lineup and one of the key features of the watch is the addition of LTE, meaning that users can now use the device without having to be tethered to their iPhone.
