Razer has launched a couple of new products aimed at streamers. The products include the Razer Kiyo camera and the Razer Seiren X microphone. The former is what Razer claims to be the world’s first desktop camera that comes equipped with an adjustable ring light. Serious streamers know just how important it is to have proper lighting so this product is certainly going to appeal to them.
Razer says that the Kiyo camera is an all-in-one solution that provides users with high image quality and professional-grade lighting without having to purchase additional equipment.
The ring light has 12 levels of brightness which should be enough to provide ideal light. The camera outputs HD video at 720p with 60 frames per second and up to 1080p at 30 fps. The camera is compatible with Open Broadcaster Software and XSplit.
Razer Seiren X is a USB condenser microphone that ocmes with the world’s first inbuilt shock mount, according to the company. It has 25mm condenser capsules for greater recording sensitivity. It’s also highly portable as it ships with a removable desk stand.
“We took a hard look at what streamers really needed, and engineered products to support those specific use cases. The result are products that produce professional quality streams while remaining accessible to beginner users,” said Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan.
The Razer Kiyo and Seiren X cost $99.99 each. They will be available from Razerzone.com later this month. Worldwide availability is promised for Q4, 2017.
