There have been a lot of rumors recently about HMD Global working on a new Nokia-branded flagship smartphone. Some Nokia 9 leaked renders have appeared online today, highlighting the rumored curved glass display of the device and a dual camera system at the back. HMD Global has launched four new Android-powered handsets this year with the Nokia 8 being the existing flagship. The Nokia 9 is expected to push HMD Global further into the flagship territory.
The Nokia 9 leaked renders suggest that the handset is going to have a premium look and feel about it. The Nokia 9 appears to have a curved display as well as a curved glass back, it’s similar to what we’ve seen on major flagships this year.
We can also see a vertical dual camera system at the back, that’s another flagship favorite for 2017, so it won’t really surprise anyone if the next Nokia-branded flagship came with a dual camera system. Also highlighted in these renders are the USB Type-C port, the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack.
As far as the specs go, the Nokia 9 is expected to feature a 5.5 inch Quad HD display with a Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage.
It’s unclear at this point in time when HMD Global is planning on launching the Nokia 9.
