However like we said in the title, there is a catch. Basically John Hancock wants its customers to exercise. This offer is made to new and existing customers where they can pay an initial fee of $25 for the Apple Watch instead of the full $359 price tag. However there will be monthly installments that customers will have to pay, but those installments can be waived if users were to hit their monthly exercise goals.
This is tracked by connecting the Apple Watch to the John Hancock Vitality Today App where users can earn points by performing workouts or by tracking their steps. According to Brooks Tingle, senior vice president of marketing and strategy at John Hancock, “The addition of the Apple Watch program to our John Hancock Vitality solution over the past year has already resulted in an increase in participating customers’ activities and engagement as compared to others in our program. We’re excited to expand the offer of the Apple Watch Series 3 to all of our John Hancock Vitality customers.”
