This has led to rumors that HTC could be making another attempt in 2017 with the HTC U11+ whose render was leaked recently. There have been claims that suggest that the phone could be announced at HTC’s 2nd of November event, but those rumors appear to have been debunked by famed leakster/insider Evan Blass.
Much ado about nothing: the 11/2 HTC event is to launch the decidedly mid-range U11 Life, not the +. Dial back your excitement accordingly.

In a tweet by Blass, he claims that the HTC U11+ will not be announced at the November event. Instead the event is said to focus on a mid-ranger HTC U Life. It is unclear if this means that the HTC U11+ was not actually meant for a November launch, or if its launch had been delayed to another time, but either way given Blass’ track record for insider information, perhaps there might be truth to his claims. That and the fact that HTC would launch three flagship-like smartphones in 2017 does seem like a bit too much.
