The game has managed to stop the charts for the month of September, but it also seems that it has done well enough for it to be one of the best-selling games of the year. Destiny 2 has managed to displace titles like Ghost Recon: Wildlands which held onto the top spot for the past six months. It was also pitted against the likes of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Battlefield 1, although it eventually managed to displace both of them.
However it is possible that Destiny 2 might not be able to hold onto the title as Call of Duty: WWII is expected to be released soon as well, but either way it did a pretty good job getting to the top spot nonetheless. Destiny 2 also marks the first time that Bungie and Activision will be bringing Destiny onto the PC.
It’s also interesting as Destiny 2 will be the first non-Blizzard game that will be available via the Battle.net Launcher application.
