While Android might be one of the most-used smartphone platforms available today, Android Wear isn’t quite dominating the wearable scene as we’re sure Google had hoped it would. In fact a while ago, there were several Android Wear OEMs who decided to skip an entire year of refreshing their devices.
That being said one has to wonder about the future of Android Wear and what’s worrying is that for some reason, the Android Wear section on the Google Store has mysteriously vanished. Now before the wild speculation begins, it seems highly unlikely that Google has decided to kill off Android Wear. After all Google recently announced that the latest Android Wear beta is now being tested on the LG Watch Sport.
However like we said, Android Wear hasn’t exactly been the runaway success that Google had hoped it would be, plus the delay of the previous update most likely did not sit well with many Android Wear users as well. It is possible that Google might simply be reorganizing the store and removed the section by accident, or maybe it was just a glitch in the store, but either way we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more information for if and when it does return.
