T-Mobile has such a cap in place which used to be 32GB, which we reckon for most users is more than enough. However for those who would prefer a bit more breathing space, you’ll be pleased to learn that T-Mobile has since increased that limit to a more generous 50GB. This was initially reported as a leak but T-Mobile has since confirmed the change on their Twitter.
Hey! You got it! Starting 9/20 the limit will be increased! *AlissaFast

T-Mobile’s cap, which is dubbed the “Fair Usage Threshold” used to be 32GB, which is actually an increase from back in May, so it is pretty obvious that the carrier wants to stay ahead of the competition, such as AT&T and Verizon, both of whom have a monthly limit of 22GB before speeds are throttled, while Sprint offers slightly more than the two at 23GB.
We’re not sure if the other carriers have plans to increase their monthly limits to match T-Mobile, but like we said, there probably aren’t that many who would use 20GB a month, let alone 50GB, so maybe not, but it would still be nice all the same.
