However we should point out that given that this is the closed beta group that it means that the software is still in the beta phase, so it could still be awhile before it is officially released to the masses. It is also interesting that out of all the OnePlus handsets released, the OnePlus 3 got it first as opposed to the newer OnePlus 3T or the OnePlus 5, but both these devices should receive their beta update soon enough.
The company is also aiming for a public beta by the end of this month, so if you are not part of the closed beta group, you will still be able to participate in the beta testing once OnePlus puts it out there for the public. There is no timeframe for when the update will be released, but like we said it’s nice to see that work is already being done.
In the meantime the company’s older handsets will be missing the update, but if you’re the owner of a OnePlus One or OnePlus 2, not to worry as there are unofficial builds being developed for it.
