The company has recently unveiled their latest Smart Planner notebook. This is a traditional planner in the sense that you will have to write in it, but the kicker is that what you write can actually be synced with various cloud services like iCloud, Google Calendar, and Outlook, and it will also be able to translate your handwriting into a digital copy that can be stored in the cloud as well.
This means that not only will you have a hard copy of the text that you can refer to, but there will be digital backups in the cloud so that if you lose your planner, your notes are still safely stored digitally. Of course this will require you to purchase the Smart Planner, which costs $199 for both the planner that comes embedded with sensors that can detect your handwriting, and a Livescribe pen.
This is actually not the first time that Moleskine has ventured into “smarter” writing tools, but if you’re only considering getting into it now, the Smart Planner will be available come 12th of September.
