If you’re someone who can afford a Mercedes-Benz, chances are that you can spring for Tidal’s premium streaming tier which allows subscribers to stream HiFi music. Who doesn’t love a good deal, though? Mercedes-Benz and Tidal have announced a new long-term partnership today which will provide access to a year’s worth of free Tidal HiFi streaming to Mercedes-Benz owners. There is a caveat, though.
Starting in 2018, members of the car company’s Me in-car automation and entertainment service will receive 12 months of Tidal HiFi for free. A month’s subscription to this tier costs $20 per month.
Customers will then be able to stream more than 50 million songs, over 185,000 music videos, and countless curated playlists for free in their vehicles for a year. Mercedes-Benz playlists will also be available on Tidal’s website.
“Thanks to the cooperation with TIDAL, we are enhancing the Mercedes me lifestyle range with a unique entertainment experience,” said Dr Jens Thiemer, Vice President Marketing Mercedes-Benz Cars.
Once the free twelve months of Tidal HiFi are up for Mercedes Me customers, users will have the option to either pay $20 per month for the HiFi streaming tier or stop using the service altogether. This incentive will only be provided for free for the first twelve months only.
