Apple unveiled the much-rumored LTE Apple Watch at its event yesterday. The Apple Watch Series 3 is being offered in both LTE and Wi-Fi only models. The LTE model is going to be released in a handful of markets initially as Apple is still working with carriers across the globe to bring this product to more markets. Customers in the United States have to keep in mind that they will have to pay $10 per month for cellular service on their LTE Apple Watch.
The Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE enables users to make and receive calls, send messages, and more using their existing phone number. They no longer have to carry an iPhone around with them for internet connectivity on the smartwatch.
Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile have all confirmed their pricing details for the LTE Apple Watch Series 3. Sprint hasn’t come forward with this information as yet but it’s likely going to do so in the near future.
Verizon customers will be able to add the new Apple Watch to their existing plan for an additional $10 per month. The carrier normally charges $5 per month to add a smartwatch to a plan so it’s unclear why it has increased the price for the Apple Watch.
AT&T and T-Mobile customers will both be able to add the new Apple Watch to their existing plans for an additional payment of $10 per month.
Apple is going to release its new smartwatch on September 22nd.
