Some of our readers may never have used a trackball mouse but many of you will certainly have memories of it, fond or otherwise. Logitech has gone down memory lane and now wants to take us down that road as well. The company today unveiled the MX ERGO, its first new trackball mouse in nearly a decade. It claims that the new mouse provides “ultimate comfort and precision tracking.”
The MX ERGO from Logitech is a wireless trackball that provides personalized comfort with an adjustable hinge, precision tracking with multi-device connectivity for those among us who like trackballs.
“We are so excited by this new trackball. It is back, better than ever and the idea for this trackball innovation was inspired by our users, who invented creative ways to achieve their desired level of comfort, sometimes adding additional wedges under their trackball for elevated angles,” said Anatoliy Polyanker, global portfolio and brand director at Logitech.
Logitech claims that the MX ERGO reduces muscular strain by 20 percent when compared to using a conventional mouse. The adjustable hinge can be used to increase the angle from 0 to 20 degrees in order to improve wrist posture and pronation.
The Logitech MX ERGO will cost $99 and will be released this month. It’s going to be available for purchase from Logitech’s website and select retail stores across North America.
