For starters one of the Pixel 2’s alleged features is water-resistance in which both the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will have an IP68 rating. This is versus the original Pixel which did not have that level of water-resistance, and was apparently due to Google running out of time to make the phones water-resistant.
The cameras on the phones are also expected to sport electronic image stabilization versus optical image stabilization, which some might argue is more superior, but we guess either way the image stabilization feature will be welcome. The report claims that this is because Google wants the new Pixel phones to be great for low-light use.
Also it seems that the rumors of the Pixel 2 ditching the headphone jack are still being corroborated, and that Google will be bundling a USB-C to 3.5mm dongle for users who have yet to cut the cord. Now obviously this should be taken with a grain of salt for now, but Google is rumored to officially announce the phones come 5th of October, so check back with us then for the details.
