#IFA2017- Garmin has announced the launch of a new vivosport activity tracker in Berlin. The new wearable devices features GPS tracking and Elevate wrist-based heart rate monitoring system. It has an always-on Garmin Chroma color touchscreen display with new built-in sports app for tracking activities like cycling, cardio, and strength training. Garmin says that it has optimized the new vivosport for both indoor and outdoor workouts.
The Garmin vivosport provides users with smart notifications so that they remain connected as they move from one activity to the next. Promising a battery life of up to 7 days in smartwatch mode and 8 hours in GPS mode, the vivosport is safe for swimming and showering.
“With vívosport, you get the best of a smart activity tracker and a sports watch in an ultra-slim, ultra-sleek design,” said Dan Bartel, vice president of worldwide sales at Garmin.
The fitness tracker has fitness monitoring tools like VO2 max and fitness age that provide users with data to keep an eye on changes in their fitness level. The wearable device includes all-day stress tracking. It measures users’ heart rate variability to view both current stress levels and a longer timetable of stress on Garmin Connect.
The band’s LiveTrack feature enables live tracking of activity and location in real time. This feature can be used to share activity and location tracking with designated individuals. The vivosport is the only fitness band to offer such a feature.
Garmin’s new vivosport fitness band will be available for purchase soon for a suggested retail price of $199.99.
