The company has recently announced that they will be bringing DOOM and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus onto the Nintendo Switch. For those wondering, the DOOM title is the reboot to the franchise that was launched in 2016, while Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is a new game announced at E3 earlier this year and sequel to Wolfenstein: The New Order which was released in 2014, so it’s not as if these are old titles that are only now being ported onto the Switch.
Unfortunately gamers will have a bit of waiting to do because no specific release dates have been mentioned. However for DOOM, the game is expected to be available this holiday season, while Wolfenstein II will only be released in 2018 for the Switch. The version that is being released for the Xbox One, PS4, and the PC will still be released next month.
It will be interesting to see how these games perform on the Nintendo Switch console, which is supposedly less powerful compared to some of the current-gen consoles today, but if you own the Switch and are fans of both titles, then these could be games worth looking forward to.
